Taniya is happy to be part of the Looking Glass Forum. Her plays have been seen in New York at New Perspectives Theatre Company, the Brooklyn Lyceum and the Westbeth Theatre Center; City Theater in Pittsburgh (where her play Haunted received Honorable Mention recognition in the Pittsburgh New Works Festival); and at Chicago Dramatist Workshop, The Bailiwick Arts Center and the Famous Door Theatre in Chicago. She is currently pursuing her MFA in Dramatic Writing at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts and is a member of the Playwright's Workshop lead by Tony Howarth in New York. Glory Sims Bowen has been the recipient of the Meritorious Achievement Award in Direction from the Kennedy Center A.C.T.F. Most recently, Kate Marks directed Nothing of Origins produced by Studio 42 and One Year Leases at Urban Stages. Kate has directed Reproduction at The Riant Theatre; Faith at The Broadway Institute; Lola and the Planet of Glorious Diversity, Decent, and Bumping Umbrellas at The Looking Glass Forum where she also teaches a movement class. Bumping Umbrellas went on to be produced at Surf Reality, The Riant Theatre, and Don't Tell Mama. Other favorite directing credits include The Lesson, Aladdin, Peter Pan, I-95 South, and Alice in Wonderland. She has choreographed for Two Sides of A Coin Productions and Cabaret at The Baracke, in East Germany. Upcoming projects include The Odyssey at the Baracke in East Germany.
