Lallita Salins - Navigating the ebb and flow of sexual desire, as well as the complexities of emotional and sexual intimacy, can often benefit from consultation with a clinical therapist well-trained in both relationship dynamics and sexuality.  Lalita Salins is an AASECT certified sex therapist based in Greenwich Village, with a wealth of expertise in working with LGBT, poly, and other sex and gender-diverse communities.  She was a founding member of Ottawa’s Centre for Treatment of Sexual Abuse and Childhood Trauma in Canada where she worked as a clinician for 20 years before returning to her native NJ.

Lalita incorporates body-centered and expressive arts approaches in her work. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is woven into the therapy process both for resolving traumatic stress and for facilitating positive transformations in couple and sex therapy.  In addition, Lalita is a practitioner of SandTray-WorldPlay therapy – a process involving “building worlds” with the use of figurines in a large tray of sand.  Rituals for endings, separations, new beginnings, grief and celebration can all be powerfully processed in this way.  Both expressive arts and sex therapy can lead to powerful and surprising transformations, new ways of experiencing erotic potential, and a deepening sense of joy, freedom, and self-discovery.  www.lalitasalins.com
